On Saturday, 27.09.2025, TV Eiche Horn took on PTSV Aachen in front of a supportive and lively home crowd. Despite moments of great play and plenty of determination, we fell short in a 0–3 loss (20:25, 20:25, 15:25).
The first two sets were closely contested, with Eiche Horn staying right alongside Aachen for long stretches. The energy in the gym was high, and every point felt like a battle. Unfortunately, a few too many of our own mistakes at critical moments gave Aachen just enough of an edge to close both sets 20:25.
In the third, Aachen found their rhythm early and managed to keep control throughout the set. Despite our continued fight and flashes of strong play, we weren’t able to swing the momentum back and the set finished 15:25.
Even though the result wasn’t what we hoped for, the match gave us valuable lessons to take with us. Facing a team as scrappy as Aachen showed us where we need to sharpen up if we want to reach our goals this season in the 3. Liga. At the same time, we’re encouraged by the effort, energy, and teamwork we displayed on the court—clear signs of the progress being made and of good things to come.
For their strong performances, Hanna Laukötter was named Silver MVP for Eiche Horn, while Liz von der Stein earned Gold MVP for Aachen.
